From November 6 to 9, 2025, the International Smart Agriculture Exposition, organized by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, was held at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center. This year’s expo focused on the theme “Intelligent Agriculture and Digital Rural Areas,” featuring enterprises and associations from over 10 countries, including the United States, South Korea, and Japan. The event showcased the latest achievements in smart agriculture. Concurrently, several forums were held, including the Smart Agriculture Innovation Conference, the 2025 Smart Fisheries Exchange Conference, the Global South Agriculture Exchange Conference, and the Digital Technology Empowering International Agricultural Product Connection Activity, to discuss global trends in agricultural intelligence. 

In the Beijing exhibition area, organized by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Beijing Digital Agriculture and Rural Development Promotion Center, several entities were featured: the Information Technology Research Center of the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, the International Engineering Research Center of Intelligent Equipment for Agriculture, and Nongxin Science and Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. They conducted on-site demonstrations of technologies such as Smart Soil, the Golden Seed Platform, QeeG, the Portable Crop Thousand-Grain Weight Analyzer, the Plant Micro-dynamic Ion Flux Detection System, the Remote Monitoring System for Agricultural Machinery Condition, the Intelligent Supervision Terminal for Agricultural Machinery Operations, the Greenhouse Inspection Robot, the Greenhouse Steward, and the Smart Field-Integrated Solution. These innovations received significant attention from the attendees. 

On the morning of November 6, Dr. Zhao Chunjiang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Scientist of the National Engineering Research Center for Information Technology in Agriculture, was invited to deliver a special report titled “Frontier Technologies of Smart Agriculture” at the 2025 Innovation Conference on Smart Agriculture. His report systematically reviewed the current development status of these frontier technologies and outlined a vision for their future direction. 

In the afternoon, Academician Zhao Chunjiang attended the China-ASEAN Agricultural Mechanization Cooperation and Development Conference and delivered a keynote speech titled “Innovation of Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Equipment and Development of Smart Agriculture.” He stated that smart agriculture is the inevitable direction for modern agricultural development, analyzed the trends in intelligent agricultural equipment, and emphasized its core role in advancing smart agriculture.

These two reports provided valuable references and inspiration for industry colleagues by exploring the development path of smart agriculture and the trends in intelligent agricultural machinery.
