With the entrance to the 21^st Century, information technology and intelligent equipment have been widely applied in agriculture, which would bring new breakthrough in agricultural development all over the world. In order to promote the technological development of precision agriculture and accelerate the agricultural informatization construction and strengthen the International communication and cooperation, the Joint International Agricultural Conference（JIAC 2009.Beijing）is to be held in Beijing of China from Oct. 14^th to 17^th, 2009. The JIAC 2009.Beijing is organized by the China Agricultural University, the National Engineering Research Center for Information Technology in Agriculture, the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, the Asian Conference on Precision Agriculture, the International Federation for Information Processing, the Beijing Society for Information Technology in Agriculture, etc. The Joint conference includes the Third Asian Conference on Precision Agriculture (3^rd ACPA), the Fifth International Symposium on Intelligent Information Technology in Agriculture (5^th ISIITA) and the Third IFIP International Conference on Computer and Computing Technologies in Agriculture (3^rd CCTA) together with the Forum on Development of Rural Informatization in China.

The Joint conference will invite famous experts from China and other countries to deliver keynote speeches and to have academic communications about the precision agriculture, intelligent information technology and computer technology application in agriculture respectively. It will fully show the latest progress in precision agriculture and the research and application of information technology in agriculture home and abroad. Participants can exchange and learn from the international experience and achievements in agricultural information construction, and discuss about the development trends and construction strategies not only in Asia but also in the world.
