Our aim is to serve for Agriculture, Countryside and Farmers. According to the common technological problems in the process of information generation in agriculture and countryside, we have systematically carried out the engineering research development so as to speed up broad application of information technology in agriculture and in all aspects in the countryside.
At present, operating in accordance with the demand of the development of social economy in countryside, NERCITA follows the general technological principle of “making technological innovation, making leapfrogging development, science supporting and leading future trends.” We are researching on seven research fields as the key technology and development strategy in information technology in agriculture namely: the application of software and hardware technology in agriculture, bio-environment control engineering and automation in agriculture, the key technology and equipment on precision agriculture, remote sensing and geographical information system and the technology on environment quality analysis and agricultural products fast test and the technology on the agricultural water resources and digital water-saving, etc.
With the huge support of the government at various levels, the experts in agriculture area, people in the society and our direct superior institute Beijing Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, and with the efforts made by all the staff, we have made great achievement in the technology of information platform, product technology, the establishment of the application system and information service, etc. Our products have been widely used in more than 30 provinces in China, and some have already been applied in foreign countries. Therefore, on behalf of all NERCITA’s staff and indeed on my own behalf, I would like to my sincere appreciation to the leaders, experts and friends at various levels who gave us tremendous support.
Now, the government departments at different levels have attached great importance to the information generation in agriculture. With the continuously development of modern agriculture generation, the information technology in agriculture would be widely applied in the future. Looking back at the past, we are full of satisfaction and confidence. Looking forward to the Future, we will take up a heavy responsibility and a long course. We believe that, with the dedicated and supportive leaders, experts and friends, and with the cooperation with other research institutes, NERCITA will make great contribution to the promotion of information technology in agriculture in China. |
