Under the greatly support by The Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST), Beijing Science and Technology Commission and Beijing Agriculture Commission, and on behalf of China, National Engineering Research Center for Information Technology in Agriculture (NERCITA) applied for the World Information Award with the project of “China’s 863 project Agricultural Expert System (AES)’. It won the World Summit Award (WSA) of United Nations on the Summit held in Geneva on December 9th to 12th in 2003.
